Sitemap Checker and XML Sitemap Validator

What it does

Check a sitemap in one run: test that it's valid XML that follows the sitemap protocol, and see exactly what's in it. Point the sitemap checker at a site or a sitemap URL. It finds sitemaps through robots.txt, follows sitemap indexes, reports protocol errors, and lists every URL with its lastmod, changefreq and priority. It can also check each URL's HTTP status.

Price and limits

$0.001 per parsed sitemap file; $0.0003 per unique extracted URL; $0.0005 per completed HTTP status check.

  • maxUrls defaults to 10,000 and can reach 200,000 total records, including removed diff records; maxSitemapFiles defaults to 200.
  • Protocol violations are reported above 50,000 entries or 50 MB uncompressed; hard response/decompression cap is 55 MB.
  • 20-second request timeout, 10-redirect cap, and at most five simultaneous status checks per origin. No authentication or login flows.
